*** legal stuff: know your FCC and local state / city laws. This unit is 100% legal to own. It’s legal to power on. It is compliant for monitoring and use on the 11 meter band. If you wish to use the RFX and have a Les com channel kit you may operate on 10 meters if you posses the knowledge for the modification and license to do so. Again, a 10 meter radio is legal for anyone to own and possess. This is an 11 meter radio with SSB. The RFX kit is fully able to be bypassed. Meaning you are well within the letter of the law when operating this unit.
