Hardcover volume bound in olive green buckram,  gilt titles to spine and front cover, embossed decoration to front cover. Titles over spine are somewhat faded, those on front cover remain bright. Bumping and rubbing to spine caps and corners. Slight fraying at spine caps. Cloth shows some soiling, mostly on rear cover. Edge of text block is age toned, but otherwise neat. Hinges are loose, and just beginning to crack at front endpaper, yet still holding. Spine is straight, and binding is tight.

Interior pages show toning. Discoloration at endpapers. Front endpaper has a previous owner's bookplate, as well as a paper note glued in. Else, no marking, stains, tears, or wrinkles.  

First American edition, 1903.
