“These Mola panels are created using two layers of brightly colored cloth, resembling a naturalistic style. However, the designs feature repeated geometric shapes rather than animals or natural elements. While the appearance may seem simple, executing this design is more challenging than the naturalistic style. If the cut lines are uneven, the design may not turn out as intended. The Mola-maker must have a clear understanding of the pattern layout. The top layer is basted in place along the lines where it remains intact, which helps control the design. This step is crucial for ensuring clean cuts with sharp corners. As the design progresses, additional basting may be necessary to maintain the stability of the pattern.”*
