Northern Europe, the period of mail and plate armor. 4 3/8” (4.35”) length of diamond section with swelled point and tapered tang. Very like the crossbow bolts of the period but lighter for the bow. Dating to the evolution of full plate armor and likely capable of penetrating lighter plates as on the arms. Of course, even when full plate coverage was developed, it was worn only by knights and nobles. The majority of fighters were protected by mail, leather and padded textile.
