This is a good size, bird-shaped bottle/wine holder from the late 1960s early 1970s by De Stijl Firenze, a renowned Italian company known for its elegant mid-century designs. This bottle holder fits comfortably a normal sized bottle of wine on the wood base and the bird hugs elegantly the remaining bottle.
It is made of hand curved wood and a brass plated metal, it has a gently aged patina. The body has a minimalist, organic shape that mimics the form of a bird a classic for De Stijl. Signed sticker on the base This piece would make a stylish addition to any bar or home decor.
