This unit works in via the original AUX input of the car so the car must have AUX mode. This will not affect the original settings of the car so will be compatible with cars with original Navi, radio modes, steering wheel controls, speaker system and iDrive control. To function our unit, you just switch over to AUX.

AUX SETUP NOTES:
From the loom provided with the kit, you need to run the 3.5mm AUX cable to your BMW's AUX port and plug it in.
Press the "My BMW" icon, which will take you to the original BMW menu. Press the Entertainment - scroll over to AUX (audio) - make sure it is set to "External AUX" - then when you go back to the original BMW menu, it should say on the bottom left "Audio Aux".
SETUP NOTES:
From the loom provided with the kit, you need to run the 3.5mm AUX cable to your BMW's AUX port and plug it in.
Press the "My BMW" icon, which will take you to the original BMW menu. Press the CD/Multimedia --External--Front AUX and activate. Then press the 8 button on the factory radio for about 10 seconds.
FACTORY SYSTEM SETUP:
On the Android menu, go to Settings--Factory Settings--8888--BMW Settings--Car Type-- in here make sure you choose the correct size and system of the factory fitted BMW screen. This needs to be done if the resolution of the factory screen is re-sized or distorted.
You can switch between the original BMW menu and Android easily. When in Android mode, touch the "My BMW" icon. When in the original BMW menu, press anywhere apart from a button.
