These miniature floral drawings were done with markers on paper towel by Harry Sy Joe of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Mr. Joe was born in China in 1911. He moved to the US with an uncle when he was 10. He became an American citizen while training to be an airplane mechanic in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He founded The Pagoda restaurant in Pine Bluff. He passed away in 2012 at the age of 100.
