Descoware Turquoise Enameled Cast Iron 4-Quart Oval Dutch Oven
This Vintage Dutch Oven is probably Descoware but is unmarked as such ~ perhaps it's Bruxelles Ware (predecessor to Descoware).
Rare (hard-to-find) aqua/turquoise color, similar to 1950s Le Creuset color 'Paris Blue' (sometimes called 'robin's egg blue').
Underside of pot markings: 12 . . Underside of lid markings: 14 . 12 (upside down) MADE IN BELGIUM
The beautiful blue enamel exterior is still glossy and the interior cooking surface is chip-free, though there are many other signs of use, including: utensil marks, staining, scratches, scuffs, tiny chips ('fleabites') on the handles and around the top edge of the pot, 'fleabites' and one larger chip on the edge of the lid, and a 2-1/2" long hairline crack near the middle of the lid.
That said, it's one great looking vintage mid-20th-century item and still a very usable piece of cookware (in my opinion).
