Here you have an exceptional 1905 Philadelphia Traction stock certificate HAND SIGNED as President by George Widener, the Vanderbilt of trolley car lines!! This is from the VERY FIRST ISSUE of this historic security whose early holders were almost all "insiders".

Not only does the certificate remain in choice crisp barely handled condition, but Widener's autograph is in the top 1% of known cancelled signatures.  Only 5-6 small punch holes actually hit any part of the letters in his name, which remains clearly legible.

Serial no. may vary. Likely issued to Estate of Thomas McKean, grandson of the Thomas McKean (three-time Governor of PA and U.S. Founding Father).
