This rare and original newspaper sports page came from a July 6, 1924 edition of a San Francisco Chronicle newspaper. This page contains a Group of photos of Olympic swimmer and future Tarzan movie star Johnny Weissmueller, accompanying by a story about how he is looking for a wife. On the backside of the page is a banner headline accompanied by a baseball game summary announcing that St. Louis Cardinals star player Rogers Hornsby has hit another home run to tie Ken Williams for the National League lead. Also on the back page is a photo of Janet Snow of Rye, New York and Anne Hardwick of the Florida State College for Women, who will participate in the first international track meet for women athletes in Paris.
