DIAMOND LIKE CARBON (DLC):

DLC is a hard, graphite-like, carbon-based coating with exceptional tribological properties under high loading conditions. Simply put, the finish is engineered for performance. The relatively new coating is currently used in fuel injection systems, but also has a number of other promising applications ranging from automotive to medical, down to high-end timepieces (the Space Black Apple watch uses the coating), and now golf equipment.

Recent durability testing has found DLC to be significantly better than anything currently available.

DESIGN NOTES:

Designed slightly longer with a stiffer, custom mid-bend shaft and a heavier head using tungsten sole weights, the new 2025 Phantom 11 Long Design is a 38-inch mallet built to help quiet the player’s hands and engage the shoulders for a smoother putting stroke. The increase in overall length and head weight is counterbalanced with a 17-inch grip for player flexibility and comfort at address.

Maintaining the Phantom 11 design concept, alignment is a key focus, as the features designed into the Phantom 11 Long Design direct the player’s attention to the center of the putter’s leading edge and down the target line. The sole-mounted stainless steel wing fused with improved vibration damping technology provides ideal CG depth and high MOI for a Phantom 11 Long Design that offers players a perfectly balanced, easy-to-align option with the forgiveness of a high-MOI mallet at a custom length.
