Returns
We will accept returns a refund within 30 days of purchase. We are unable to offer an exchange service through eBay. You must request a return through eBay Returns Feature before posting any item back to us, items returned without going through this process will be refused. This helps us to process it quickly when received. You can contact usthrough eBay messages if required but for a return eBay will guide you through the returns process. For if you ordered the incorrect item or it doesn't fit you will be liable for postage back to us and postage if any to yourself in the first instance. If agreed by us that you were sent an item in error or have to return an item due to our fault we will refund you in full and also your return postage upto a resonable value using a service which requires a signature but notc next-day or Speial Delivery, please note with Paypal any amount larger than what you originally paid we will have to make as a separate payment for that amount.

Next Day Shipping
DPD Local or Parcel Force 48 (for larger items such as bikes over 20 inch wheel that cannot go on a 24 serice). Not available on weekends or bank holidays. Orders must be received and paid for before 3pm on a weekday (1pm for bicycles) (excluding bank holidays) for this service to get to you for the next day.

Please note that (with the exception of Get It Fast/Next Day/Special Delivery) the delivery dates quoted by Ebay are approximate.

About Us

Started in 1981 Alans is the longest-standing BMX shop in the UK. We are based in Wigan Town Centre right by the Train Stations. While still keeping BMX at the forefront, we have sold Skateboards since the early 1980's and started selling Mountain and Road bikes in 2004,.

If you wish to amend or add a comment to your order please contact us ASAP. Please do not add a note to your Paypal or Ebay transaction as orders come straight through to our EPOS system so if you add a note to your Paypal or Ebay transaction we will not see it. 

International Shipping
We can ship Internationally, most items have a postage price already in eBay however there are occasions on smaller items the postage will be quite high or for larger items such as handlebars or tyres we may request extra money to cover the postage due to low weight but large item. We use templates from weights to set approximate shipping costs, please message us for a more accurate price if needed. The prices depend on the destination and weight & size of parcel. PLEASE NOTE IF YOU ARE OUTSIDE OF THE UK YOU WILL LIABLE FOR ANY TAXES OR DUTY PAYABLE IN YOUR COUNTRY. The UK is no longer in the European Union. We have no control over this and cannot arrange pre-paid duty/taxes. If you do not pay the taxes when contacted by your local customs the item will be returned to us and you wil still be charged the delivery cost.

Stock
All our Ebay stock is linked to our EPOS and our Main Website AlansBMX. This ensures that we aren't selling what we don't have or cannot get in from supplier. Everything listed is physically hereor at our suppliers for fast desptach, some items are linked to our suppliers stock and can take 1-2 days for dispatch but if its showing stock it means they have it available. However, as stock updates every 30 minutes there is always the slim possibility of when we get down to just one of item it could be sold via another channel in that 30 minute refresh - if this is the case we will contact you same-day to notify you, offer an alternative, give a delivery date or offer a full and prompt refund. Please include a phone number if possible.

Problems
While we go to great lengths to check and pack orders correctly buut we are only human and if you do experience any problems please contact us first to give us an opportunity to put it right in a quick an efficient manner. Our hours of business are 9.00-5.00 Mon-Fri for replying to eBay messages and we are closed Sundays and all UK Bank Holidays so we will not be able to reply to any messages outside of these hours.  

Terms and Conditions - please read before placing an order

Please provide a valid telephone number when ordering so if needed, we can contact you regarding your order & delivery.

Please double check your delivery address before ordering, we will not accept any responsibility for incorrect or incomplete addresses that are provided at the point of ordering. We cannot change an address once an order is placed according to eBays T&C so if an order is incorrect we will have to cancel and refund and you will need to place the order again.

Please respond to any calling cards that are left by our couriers. If an item is not called for, and returned to us, you are responsible for the original shipping costs, and a redelivery charge will apply. We use a delivery service that shows when an item is deliv ered,sometimes this can be left with a neigbour.

Damaged/Faulty Items

In the unlikely situation that any items received by the customer are faulty or damaged, we will replace them. If you receive an item where the packaging is opened or damaged please REFUSE this item and it will be returned to us, if you can let us know if this happens it would be appreciated. All damages must be reported to us via the eBay My Messages system within 3 Working Days from delivery.

Order Cancellation & Refunds

Should it be necessary for us to cancel an order due to customer error, we will send an order cancellation request via eBay. You MUSt do this as soon as possible before the order is packed and booked to be posted. This request must be accepted by the customer prior to any refund being issued. Please understand that by placing your order, we have already been charged ebay fees and by accepting the cancellation we can recoup those funds and provide you with a full refund.
