2000s MotherBoard ATX I/O Shield Standard PC98 Layout NEW 440BX 440LX i810 VIA

For sale is this standard layout IO shield for ATX motherboards made in the late 90's/early 2000s.

Back in late 90's when ATX motherboards started first appearing, the I/O layout was standard across all motherboard makers with only a few exceptions. Makers like Gigabyte, Epox, ABIT, ASUS all conformed to the same layout and case makers also had pre-installed standard layouts already in their cases.

Fast forward 25 years and now we all want to put vintage motherboards in new(er) cases however because I/O shield were rarely included it gets quite hard to find ones that are appropriate.

We have sourced the correct size shield for these vintage motherboards, it is compatible with the first generations of ATX motherboards that had the same standard layout plus options for LAN and audio though early motherboards only had PS2/USB/serial and parallel ports.

There is only a limited supply of these.

Please note that you will need to bend the tab back on the PS/2 header, the tab is a grounding header however in the way that these are made (stamped sheet metal) they are not bent (yet).

If an item is faulty (when advertised as working) or significantly not as described, you can contact us via eBay with your concerns within the refund period specified in the listing. If deemed that it is in fact not as advertised, the item can be returned to us for a full refund excluding return postage costs. Refunds will be issued after the item has been returned in its original condition. Tampering with, opening, disassembling or any modifications to the item will void any refund.
