Grit Description
- 60 grit to 180 grit
This type of sandpaper is in the coarse grit range and is generally used for hard, coarse, rough stuff like metal, wood and walls.
- 240 grit to 400 grit
This type of sandpaper is commonly used by us for secondary sanding of coarse abrasives, some less demanding can be sanded directly to shape.
- 600 grit to 1500 grit
This type of sandpaper is a fine sandpaper and is suitable for mahogany furniture, amber, basswood and gold.
- 2000 grit to 5000 grit
very fine. This type of paper has reached a certain level of technology and is mainly used for fine polishing. It can be used for removing dead skin and polishing nails for manicure purposes.
- 5000 grit to 10000 grit
Ultra fine. Used for mirror polishing.
