VINTAGE TELEMANIA WOODEN RAINBOW LORIKEET PARROT LANDLINE TELEPHONE -  WORKING.

On offer is a Vintage Telemania Rainbow Lorikeet Parrot Landline Telephone.

Made in Taiwan in the 1980’s by Telemania, this wooden telephone features a hand carved, hand painted Rainbow Lorikeet Parrot which is both colourful and intricate.

This brightly coloured phone is in partial working condition. When plugged in and an incoming call is received, the parrot's pupils light up red when the phone rings. Outgoing calls can be made by using the touch buttons on the underside of the receiver side of the parrot and again, its eye’s light up when in use. Unfortunately, the ability to record a 3 second message which will play instead of the phone ring is not at present working.

There is a brass plaque on the front stating it is a Rainbow Lorikeet native to the Australian Rainforests.

It is in excellent vintage condition with only minor paint loss and a few small scratches to this unique and rare Telemania phone which stands approximately 14” (36cms) high.

It has been retrofitted with a modern BT plug and tested.

A great addition for your collection and quite a talking point.
