For your consideration is the antique, circa 1895, advertising game of the BUSINESS MEN'S SERIES by L. L. DOUD. The game is complete with an Instruction Card and 36 cards (9 sets of 4) advertising businesses in AUGUSTA, WISCONSIN, as follows:

The cards measure 2-3/8th inches by 3-3/8th inches. The playing cards have a red pattern design on the reverse. The back of the Instruction Card is blank. The box measures 2-5/8th inches by 3-1/2 inches.
The firm of L. L. Doud offered these decks to promote the businesses of towns across the country.

CONDITION: The game is complete with 37 cards: 9 sets of 4 cards, 1 instructions card, and original box.. Most of tte cards are in very good condition, gently rubbed and lightly soiled but please note the following: 1) the Instruction card is stained at the upper right and lower left, 2) two of the City Restaurant Cards are stained at the upper right, 3) one of the Philip Treiber cards is stained at the upper right (see the close-ups of these cards).
