fold-out 1939 Conoco road map of Wyoming, printed more than 86 years
ago.
- This map opens to 18" x 23½"
and has great
detail on old highway alignments and route numbers, with cartography by
H.M. Gousha.
- It was distributed by the Continental Oil Company in 1939
to
promote its Conoco brand and is dated by the code numbers in the lower
margins: 10383 and 10-M.
- Little triangles on the map locate Conoco gas stations in
the state.
-
On the reverse side there are inset plans of Cheyenne and Casper, along
with a street plan
of Ogden, Utah and maps of three national parks: Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Rocky Mountain.
- Condition: The map is in very good, lightly used
condition, with some faint toning in the upper corner of the cover and no
rips, tears, or writing. Please
