I DO NOT HAVE A CERTIFICATE FOR THIS. IT WAS PURCHASED IN THE EARLY 60'S WHEN THEY WERE NOT REQUIRED. THERE ARE NO HOLES OR CUTS OF ANY KIND IN THE NUT SHELL.

This is a rare antique African nut seed known as Coco De Mer from Seychelles. The Coco De Mer is a type of palm tree that produces the largest seed in the plant kingdom. It is highly valued for its unique shape and appearance, often used in traditional African cultures for various purposes such as decoration or religious rituals. This vintage collectible item offers a glimpse into the cultural significance and natural beauty of the Seychelles region, making it a unique piece for collectors interested in African artifacts. This item was acquired from an estate in NC. I believe it to be 60 to 70 years old. The estate owner was an airline stewardess in the 1950's and 60's and was a world traveler. Her home was filled with many exotic items. This Nut comes with a custom stand for display, and it shows off nicely.
The nut measures approx. 10 x 11 x 6" and weighs in at 10 lbs with the stand it is 16" x 12 x 8 5/8". The colors range from ebony to brown, and I have taken picture inside and outside to help out visually.  This will be packaged carefully and fully insured. Please understand that my shipping charges are due to the fact the nut and stand are very heavy and it cost extra to insure items.
