Up for sale is a Hardly Used, outstanding almost mint condition, Right Handed 36 inch 1992 Handmade BeNi (beryllium - nickel) Bobby Grace KBI-Scottsdale Anser Style Putter - First one Bobby Grace made.
Sole is hand stamped 'BOBBY GRACE' 'HANDMADE' 'KBI' '1992'   Putter face has faint mill marks and casting imperfections.  Putters face is slightly longer than that of a Ping Scottsdale Anser - measures 4.5 inches vice Ping's 4.25 inches.

BeNi is one of the 'softest' feeling putter materials, even softer than copper.  That is because Nickel has about 1/7th higher density than steel. a lot of what "soft feel" is about is feeling low frequency vibrations. higher density typically leads to lower resonance frequencies (although not always the case as with copper, which typically is made with thin faces to reduce weight but also results in a "ringier" feel). even if the material is not actually softer, what you're feeling as hard/soft is not the true hardness of the material but how much it vibrates and where on the spectrum that vibration occurs

Includes Bobby Grace Letter of Authenticity: 'This KBI BeNi was the very first one ever made.  This was sand Cast at the same Beryllium foundry Karsten used back in the late 60's and 70's to make his first prototypes.'

Putter was made when Bobby was located in St. Petersburg Fl.

This putter has the look and feel of the Ping KBI BeNi putter, but for less cost.  There were 50 of the Pings made and they run about $4K.   There is only one of these and it's not $4K
