Antique, nearly two centuries old hardcover, quarter leatherbound book with marbled paper covered hard cover boards in overall fair to good condition with detached but present front coverboard. Scarce book, stated first American edition on the title page. Calf leather spine face has significant rubbing with only the shadow of the title label remaining and still being partially legible. Upper and lower ends of the spine as well as the outer corner edges of the boards have some minor rubbing to the boards. Interior of the book is overall clean and well intact with foxing and toning from age as well as some ink soiling to the title page. Inside of the front coverboard has old bookseller and book binder's original early 19th century label and the book begins with the title page with a former owner's ink signature three times on the first three leaves of the book. There is also an old bookseller's notation in pencil on the back endpapers. A small amount of pages towards the beginning of the book have some minor dog ear crease folds. Book's binding is tight and well intact and the book is complete with all pages present and none coming loose, detached or missing.

Book totals 323 pages followed by the appendix which has a separate pagination of 95 additional pages. Measures approximately 7 x 4 1/8 x 1 3/8 inches and weighs about 1 pound.
