The UEW 605 PEQ 2 rail grabber is a low profile picatinny mount that helps to bring the laser aiming module out of view of scopes and makes the fire button easier to press.  This unit is inspired by the LT 605 mount that was used on the Mk. 12 Mod 1 and Mod H, the SEAL Recce Rifle to improve the scope picture, and the original HK 416 so the back up iron sights could be used without dismounting the LAM.  This mount brings the PEQ 2 nearly 1/4" lower than the traditional mounting bracket (NSN 5340-01-458-0990).  The comparison is drastic, as seen in the pictures above.
