The Kennebec Valley Uniform Bank
The Maine Mobile Scouting Museum is a scouting memorabilia museum designed to preserve and educated Scouts and Scouters on Maine's rich Scouting history. The museum is completely mobile and can be set up at your event.
The Camp Bomazeen Oldtimers Association is a 501(C)(3) dedicated to the preservation of Camp Bomazeen and it's use for Scouts. It is also dedicated to Scouts within the Central Maine Location and making sure that opportunities exist for those youth
The Kennebec Valley Unifrom Bank is a group that collects old scouitng uniforms from Goodwill and other types of thrift stores. They also collect uniforms from troops or by public donations. They remove earned insignia and then put these uniforms back into service by holding uniform drives during the recruitment season. They give free used uniforms to newly recruited families all over Maine to help support and offset the cost of scouting. Started in 2013 the uniform bank has supported and given out over 2000 uniforms to scouts in need who might not be able to afford a uniform otherwise. With that the bank has also given away hats, belts, pants, neckers and handbooks.
