USS Dunlap (DD-384) was a Mahan-class destroyer. She was built at New York City, New York and commissioned in June 1937. She served in both the Atlantic and Pacific prior to World War II, and in the latter ocean during that conflict. She fought at the battle of Vella Gulf, took part in the British raid on Surabaya in 1944, was on the fringe of the battle of Leyte Gulf, took part in the invasion of Iwo Jima, and was the site of the Japanese surrender of the Bonin Islands at the end of the war.
