This listing is for Rare Mermaid Serving Platter & Matching Plates by Modern Stylists, UDA Plastics.

This very rare set of phenolic dishes was made in the late 1930s by UDA plastics and signed UDA to the back and Modern Stylists, made in England. To the front is a stylised mermaid with long wavy hair sitting on waves in a clamshell with seaweed decoration.

The large oval platter measures 11.5 inches (29cm) wide, 9 inches (23cm) high and the four matching side plates are each 6 inches inches (15cm) diameter.

These items are in very good condition for their age. The plates are in perfect condition and the serving platter has a couple of small nibbles out of the edge as per the images. Please see photographs for detailed condition.
