A charming antique French Henriot Quimper plate with a hand painted Breton man dressed in traditional local costume, demi-fantaisie decor, and a blue border highlighting the plate's ogee edge . The HR signature on the underside indicates this piece was made between 1891 - 1896.

In very good condition for Quimper faience of this age. There is a repaired chip on the rim at 9 o'clock, several glaze flecks and areas of wear on the rim (some colored in), glaze pinholes, and small areas of glaze crawling/skips on the underside. The tin glaze has a blueish hue, more so than most Henriot Quimper I've seen, but similar to the typical piece of Porquier Beau Quimper.  See photos for condition.

Dimensions are approximately 9 1/2" diameter x 1" high.
