I own the largest collection of rare sports pages and sports related newspapers in the country. In my Store, Gallery of The Game, not only will you find Major Sporting events and stars from yesteryear, but you will find lesser-known stories and photos of players, teams and events. These offer an opportunity to find a genealogical history of family members who played sports. My store also carries other sports related paper ephemera. Add me as a favorite seller so you will be notified when new listings are added.

Available is a rare April 26, 1915 Chicago Tribune newspaper sports page that has a banner headline at the top of the page announcing that the amateur baseball season has opened at local Chicago parks. The page is dominated by amateur baseball game boxscores. One of the box scores carries a bold headline and brief story reporting that Rube Foster's negro league American Giants team returned from California to beat the Milwaukee Sox in front of 6000 fans at Shorling's Park.

Condition

This newspaper page is in good condition. However, the page should still be treated as delicate and handled with the utmost care upon receipt. The page exhibits typical paper loss and chipping on the edges due to its age.

Domestic Shipping

The pages will be placed in a clear plastic sleeve and gently rolled and inserted into a sturdy cardboard tube. Single newspaper pages can be shipped via First Class Mail. Please specify if expedited Priority Mail is desired. I will combine shipping but additional newspaper pages may require Priority Mail shipping due to total package weight.

Multiple Purchases and Combined Shipping

I do combine shipping. If you purchase multiple items from my "Buy It Now" inventory, please add each item to your cart on the listing home page and when finished check out and request a total from me.

If you win multiple auctions, please don't pay for each item individually. I will send you an invoice with a combined shipping amount for all of your auction wins once they are completed.
