BEAUTIFUL LARGE CEVIK CAPODIMONTE COURTING COUPLE SCULPTURE BY Guido CORTESE.

On offer is a Beautiful Large Cevik Italian Capodimonte Courting Couple Sculpture by Guido Cortese.

This beautiful ceramic centrepiece by Guido Cortese was made by Cevik in Italy and is done in superior Capodimonte style. It is hand-painted and signed by the Italian sculptor Cortese.

Imagine a warm spring day, birds singing, a couple seated under a floral arch on a garden bench and brick wall. He is playing the mandolin while she looks longingly on. The details are amazing with the sculpture lines of the throats, hands, her ankles and the flowers. The figurative scene is mounted on a contrasting dark wood base.

The sculptor, Guido Cortese has placed his name at the base of the brickwork.

The piece is in excellent condition. The colours are warm and inviting and other than a small loss of paint to a few areas there are no chips, dings or other damage to the figure. The base has some surface wear in places.

It is approximately 14” tall and has a 10" x 8" base (36cms x 26cms x 20cms). It weighs approximately 11 pounds (5kgs) unpackaged.

A figurine which would grace any room.
