Adjustable Holders are used for holding drills, reamers, counterbores and similar tools, providing a simples means of centering these cutting tools with the works.
The cutting tool is mounted in the head ot the tool either directly or by use of a bushing and is clamped securely in place by a set screw. An important advantage of this holder is that is maintains the axis of the tool parallel with the machine spindle, an essential condition for accurate alignment of the tool with the works.
