She made her debut at the Novara Teatro Coccia in 1925 as Desdemona in Otello and initially sang on smaller Italian stages. In 1926, she was engaged by the Italian Opera in Holland, where she became so beloved that she was nicknamed "La Diva Olandese." In 1927, she created the role of Fiora in I. Montemezzi's L'Amore dei tre Re for the Dutch stage, a role that became one of her signature performances.

After singing in Holland during the 1926-1928 seasons, she embarked on tours across Cuba, Venezuela, and Central America from 1929 to 1931. Following her return to Holland in 1931, she achieved continued success with the Italian Opera. In 1932, she made her debut at Teatro alla Scala in Milan, where she performed several times until 1945, including reprising the role of Fiora in L'Amore dei tre Re in 1937.

In 1935, she appeared at the Maggio Musicale in Florence as Sinaide in Rossini's Mosè in Egitto. In 1936, she performed at Teatro San Carlo in Naples as Maddalena in Andrea Chénier and, in 1938, at the Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels. Notably, on February 8, 1936, she sang at the Genoa Opera in the premiere of Gian Francesco Malipiero's Giulio Cesare.

During World War II, she remained in Italy, and in 1948, she performed the title role in Donizetti's Anna Bolena at the Teatro Liceo in Barcelona. That same year, she made guest appearances at the Cambridge Theatre in London, singing the roles of Tosca and Mimi in La Bohème. In 1952, she once again performed in Holland, appearing at the Dutch Opera in Amsterdam as Mimi.

Later in life, she taught singing in Milan and eventually retired to the Casa di Riposo per Musicisti. She played a leading role in the 1984 documentary film Il bacio di Tosca, which featured residents of the home for retired musicians.
