You are viewing a TWELVE compartment 1kg  storage box designed around the Vihtavouri 1kg and/or Alliant Bottles of 1lb Size so both these bottles are a little taller than the 1lb Pyrodex style bottle. Complying with all the latest HSE guidance of Black-powder and Nitro powder users within the UK. Fitted with  double large metal hasps to the front for you to be fitting two larger padlocks. Clamp/Lock hasp to the face in addition. 

The boxes are made from premium 18mm exterior grade one WPB plywood with liners of the same approximately 6.00mm thick and removable.  It is glued where need be (not the dividers) and security screwed for a that extra basis of security, with appropriate qualified intumescent sealer, even though the emphasis is the fire proof rather than the security that is all upon your own choice, your home and your location, security must be within HSE guidelines and your FAO approval, you may will need FAO permission to store this quantity of powder, even though twelve is the guidline, changing the spec of the box will not define the security, neither of your home, or where your location of the box is to be, that's really just read the HSE Guidelines. The hinges and hasp are fitted with excess variable tamper screws. They are with tight fit twelve compartments, which will each fit 1kg VIHT or similar size powder pots, (app 100x119x320mm per comp) and obviously smaller pots as in 1lb black powder will fit in  easy. The handles to these boxes are  Premium Quality Flight Case Nickel of the drop variety, we may revert to stainless soon, price/supply pending, to either side for ease of you to pass security wire through if need be via a fitting, you will be required to attach a fitting of your choice if major security wires need fitting maybe, they aren't fitted as it it not known where you want them will normally have, we ourselves would recommend the long cycle lock PVC covered wires rather than the old fashioned chain and padlock, not going to get a spark off plastic !!

Over time we have sold many thousands of boxes, and hundreds of explosives carriers as well as det boxes and Rifle shipment boxes for overseas sales by some major UK sales rooms, they have been declared fully compliant with requirements by we believe many FOA/Police and Military Forces in the UK. Due to a factory move when Covid hit we refrained from the manufacturer for a period but will be doing all from two to nine bottle cases as of and others on demand. HO regulations pending on not doing larger boxes, but that we see do not really happening, in fact a reduction, to a maximum of twelve is looking sted you may will need permission above Twelve Kilo's total, thats not per box thats per gross total on your property, check with your FAO prior to buying. Upon our tests under conditions of some years ago interior plywood will burn in three to five minutes (our demo was on you-tube), above certain rates hence its "non-compliance" in the building industry,  intumescent strip therefore has very little impact in this case, WPB has an approximate thirty-six minute burn rate that the same as most strips if not longer giving the escape element and seal period, no it wont stop the overall burn, but it gives the Fire services that extra time and you if need be, and hope it does never happen. Beyond our control but the overall quality of imported WPB has declined over the last couple of years, not the perfomance but the veneer facing, it becomes very difficult to cut without fine chipping now, we have tried various makes, all are the same, it does not effet the performance, just sometimes not a perfect edge..It is an “HSE” guideline to have security screws used were exposed, if not you may be at risk your FAO not passing it for use, all of our boxes do comply. Unlike some other suppliers this intumesecent strip will be attached to the lid not the casing as that is not complient but vast amount of FAO's do ignore it as they are not with it.

We are sorry not to use Parcel Force on a business basis but will sometimes if needs be, due to delays and high costing it became a total non starter, we also retain to use and try to recycle all packaging we possibly can to be green as and efficient. Powder bottles are not included... but empty ETS ones can be supplied.

We include shipping and  insurance to full, but all returns are only credited less initial postage fees of purchase, if not agreed, this box is bulky and heavy prior to being filled, its not to be moved around that easy when it is, basically you have a near half sheet of 18mm and 6mm WPB prior to all fittings so guess the weight yourself.

ALL OF OUR OUR STORAGE BOXES ARE BLACK POWDER COMPLIMENT SINCE INCEPTION SO UNLIKE SOME ON THE MARKET THEY WILL STORE PYRODEX. EVEN SO YOU ARE IN MOST CASES ONLY ALLOWED TO STORE 600g in each bottle of non-nitro.

We base all Nitro Sizing (Vhit Bottles) around One the size of a 1kg bottle, all Black (HP) you will have to measure as there as so many variations., yes they vary, so measure yours first, and a guideline, people always buy a storage box too small, i.e., they come back for another!!
