Programming Requirements:
The manufacturer’s programming instructions For your vehicle make model and year specify diagnostic programming required. Your vehicle’s RKE (remote keyless entry) System requires programming by your local auto locksmith. The procedure can be done with a scan tool /dianostic equipment & takes a few minutes to complete. We suggest a local Automotive locksmith. You may want to call ahead to get a price quote and to ensure they have the proper equipment to pair your particular vehicle’s RKE system to your remote.
You will need; 1. the remote and 2. the vehicle you will be syncing the remote to . (BEWARE: if you choose to take the remote to your local DEALER : many dealers will charge for 1 hour of labor to do this & often times they will tell you that it will not work so that you will have to purchase a remote from them at 2-3 times the cost) |
How to find out if this remote is compatible with your Vehicles’ installed RKE System
If you're not sure your vehicle can use this remote, please ask questions or contact your local dealer first.
1. Check the back of your current or old keyless remote to match FCC ID /Part #’s.
2. Contact your local dealer and tell them your VIN# and ask what part # / FCC ID you need.
Your vehicle will be installed with one of the following keyless entry systems:
a. Standard Keyless Remote Packages: Installed at time of manufacture.
b. Optional Keyless Remote Packages: Installed by a dealer.
c. Aftermarket Keyless Remote Packages: Installed by previous owner or a car/audio shop.
d. No remote keyless entry system at all.

for your installed remote keyless system.
