Offered is this vintage advertising slide knife with a blue and white plastic body. It is marked "Merit Mufflers" on one side and "Union Auto Parts Inc. 540 Main S.W. Warren Ohio Dial 399-1885" on the other side. I don't know how old it is for sure but the absence of a zip code and presence of a seven-digit phone number probably dates it to the mid-1960s.

The piece is approx. 5 1/8" long when opened, about 3 1/4" long when closed. The blade is approx. 1 3/4" long. The slide and opening mechanism work well. The plastic has some light wear, with some light wear to the words, also. The blade has some light corrosion in places. At the time of original listing I had two of these, identical except that the second one has more corrosion on the blade and some additional wear to the plastic.
