Here is a fantastic Franciscan item!

This item is a round vegetable bowl from their iconic and highly collected Starburst dinnerware pattern.

Designed in 1954 by Franciscan designer Mary C. Brown, Starburst evoked the feel of the coming Space Age, with futuristic shapes and design. It featured rayed stars in turquoise, chartreuse, and olive green on thick elliptical shapes. Starburst was an instant success, and enjoys the same appeal today.

The round vegetable bowl stands about 2 5/8” high, and is 8 3/8” by 8 1/4”. The bottom is marked

This mark dates this round vegetable bowl between 1954 and 1958. 

Condition is excellent! There is a wee bit of decal wear on two of the turquoise stars. No other sign of use or wear, and no damage at all.
