Huggable and cheerful would be the best way to describe this adorable Vintage Cabbage Patch doll.  With gorgeous red hair in double ponies, charming little dimples and captivating green eyes she will steal your heart before you know it. She is from the OK Factory, and has a blue 1985 signature on her tush from Xavier Roberts. She is wearing a very pretty Beige and Chestnut top, leg warmers (does have a couple of stains on one) and dark bloomers. She is also wearing a diaper, and original CPK shoes. She is in very good vintage condition for her ripe ‘ol age of 40, but she is a vintage item and therefore not perfect (although she appears pretty perfect to me😊).

Fun fact: Xavier Roberts, who invented the Cabbage Patch Kids dolls, was a 21-year-old art student that came up with the doll idea in 1976. By 1978, Roberts and five of his school friends started a company called the Original Appalachian Artworks, Inc., which sold the entirely plush, hand-made Little People dolls (the name was to change later) at a retail price of $100 or more. Roberts would travel to arts and craft shows to sell the dolls, which already had the adoption aspect to them – genius! In 1982, Roberts and his friends were unable to keep up with the mass orders and signed a contract with Coleco, which could mass-produce the dolls—now with plastic heads and be called Cabbage Patch Kids. Coleco sold the dolls for $35–45 dollars each.

Obtained this adorable doll at an estate sale – where I felt pretty lucky to get her.  I just know someone will be happy to give her a good home❤️
