This is an early 1970's Gibson ES-335. I don't exactly the year, but the features and serial put it from 1970-1975. I'm guessing 1973 as other guitars claiming to be 1973's have a similar vibrant cherry finish.
The guitar is 100% original with no breaks, cracks, or previous repairs. Although, the knobs MAY be replacements. Other than that, she's all there. The guitar has been freshly cleaned and set up with D'addario 11's and plays exactly like it should. The original frets have very little wear and are in excellent shape.
Cosmetically, the guitar is VERY nice. It has some nice vertical checking around both mouse ear areas. There are a few very light blemishes if you wiggle the guitar in the right light, but certainly nothing major. It is a very nice guitar.
It sounds just like a 70's 335 ought to and has an especially strong, nice sounding bridge pickup. It balances well with the neck. That is a huge deal for me and a selling point.
The original blue lined case is in decent shape and has a replaced handle. Otherwise, it does it's job.
