Q: What is an eSIM?
A: An eSIM is a digital SIM that lets you activate a mobile plan without having to use a physical SIM card. If your device supports Dual SIM, you can use an eSIM to allow two lines or more on it.
Q: How do I check if my device is eSIM compatible?
A: Enter *#06# on your keypad to see a list of your device information. If you see EID in the list, then your device is eSIM compatible.
How to add/install an eSIM?
1. eSIM QR code will be sent through eBay My Messages.
2. Make sure you have an internet connection and display the eSIM QR code on another device or just print it out.
3. For iOS devices(E.g. iPhone) :
Settings > Cellular > Add eSIM > Use QR Code, then scan the eSIM QR code to install eSIM profile to your phone.
4. For Android devices(E.g. Galaxy) :
Settings > Connections > SIM Manager > Add eSIM > Scan QR code, then scan the eSIM QR code to install eSIM profile to your phone.
5. Enable "Data Roaming" for the installed eSIM. Make sure eSIM is selected as the cellular data source.
6. The eSIM profile is for one-time installation only. Please DO NOT DELETE your eSIM profile after installation until your trip is complete. It usually takes a few minutes for the eSIM to connect to the carrier network.
