NANCY
SUNDAY THIRD PAGE COMIC STRIP
By Ernie Bushmiler
The FRITZI RITZ comic strip, created by
Larry Whittington,
debuted on October 9, 1922. The strip detailed the
adventures and
romance of flapper FRITZI RITZ. In
1925, Ernie Bushmiller assumed
control of the strip and remained in charge until his death in
1982.
In 1933, Bushmiller introduced Fritzi’s young niece, Nancy, who
soon
dominated the FRITZI RITZ strip. In 1938, the daily strip was renamed
NANCY and a new Sunday strip, starring NANCY, soon followed.
The FRITZI RITZ Sunday page continued until
sometime in 1967 or 1968.
After Bushmiller’s death, Al Plastino assumed the NANCY Sunday
strip from 1982 to 1984. Others contributing to NANCY included
Mark Lasky, Jerry Scott, Guy and Brad Gilchrist
and Olivia Jaimes.
This listing is a single Very Good Condition Sunday Third Page
Comic Strip dated May 1, 1960.

Combine purchases and save on shipping!
Use the Shopping Cart option to confirm your purchases
and request adjusted shipping charges.
The easiest way to do this is to place the items you
want to purchase in your shopping cart. When you open
the
shopping cart, across from your name are the words in blue
"Request Total." Click these words and the request total page
is generated that shows the items that you are committing
to buy and a box for a message to you the seller. You can now click
the blue box that states “Commit to Buy” & submit the request.
This works best on a computer rather than a cell phone.
If something goes wrong and eBay charges you the full amount,
don't worry, I will refund the excess when I pack your order.
