Period of Mehmed IV-Suleiman II. Oval bronze, about 5/8: length with chiseled cursive Arabic signature in reverse to wax seal documents. Reverse with a contoured post grip, the tip pierced and mounted with an iron ring, probably a mail link for suspension. Indicative of a noble owner as commoners would seldom endorse documents. From a group of similar seals suggests that they were collected after the Siege of Vienna in 1683 where a massive amount of Ottoman booty was collected.
