Restored Thorens TD-160 record player with Tung Oil solid hardwood base

This turntable was disassembled and restored and modified and assembled by hand.

Electrical components are checked, moving parts oiled and wearing parts replaced.

A final endurance test was performed to unsure table is working properly.

Inner plate:                        metal

Plate bearing:                   10mm

Basic dimensions:           Width: 54cm, depth: 45cm, height 15cm

 

Plinth & base:

The plinth is made of hardwood and consists of two individual parts, the plinth and the plinth base. The plinth base is of mdf. They are connected to each other using screws. It has been professionally finished with multiple coats of Tung oil, sealed and polished with appropriate intermediate sanding.

Cover plate:

Excellent shape original aluminum plate.

Grado cartridge:

With the highly regarded Grado prestige red cartridge (used in very good shape).

Turntable Platter:

The turntable platter has a multistep polish to a satin finish.
The satin polish gives your record player a unique look, with special protective coating to prevent tarnishing.

Isolation feet made of high density urethane

So that the record player is decoupled from low-frequency vibrations, resonances and feedback are thus effectively prevented.

Drive belt:

This drive belt is manufactured according to the original Thorens specifications (same material and dimensions).
