This is a 1910s Rosen & Sons Duralife Tin Toleware Shoe Shine Stand w/ Hand Created Design.
Manufacturer is Joseph Rosen & Sons Duralife Hand Decorated Products, and the shoe shine stand is believed to date to the 1910s.
It is an ovoid shaped tin piece with a hollowed out inside (for products and rags, presumably) with a raised metal foot "platform" on top.
As a whole, the stand measures approximately 9.75" H x 10.25" L. The foot piece is tiny by modern standards (likely for women) and measures approx.9" in length (from bolt to bolt).
The shoe shine stand features a hand-painted toleware design in what appears to be green and gold on the red tin background.
Joseph Rosen & Sons sticker is still affixed to the bottom.
Condition wise, yes, the shoe shine stand shows obvious wear and age, but by and large, it is in superb condition. The foot "platform" is still bolted down (though the paint has worn away in spots), and the tin base has surface scratching and discoloration but no dents. Considering its purpose, its hard to believe it faired so well.
