Update your Porsche PCM 3.1 head unit to the latest version available. There are numerous documented bugs and known issues with the PCM 3.1 head unit such as Bluetooth connectivity problems, random reboots and freezing etc. The latest firmware version is also required if you want to update your Navigation Maps or make any hardware upgrades such as adding reverse cameras etc.
Porsche main dealers will charge you £400+ to update your PCM head unit - save £££’s buy purchasing a DVD which will allow you to do it yourself at a fraction of the price.
Why update my PCM 3.1 Unit?
Older PCM firmware has known bugs, version 4.76 fixes all known issues and is the latest version available.
How do I check my current PCM Version?
Press "Info" button located under the PCM screen. Then press "Option" and select "Show System Version" on the PCM screen. The PCM 3.1 unit typically looks like the image in the listing, and is fitted to 911, Cayenne, Boxster, Cayman and Panamera Models made from 2010 onwards. The 2014-2016 Macan also came fitted with PCM 3.1 and can be upgraded using this disc.
How do I update my unit?
Insert the DVD into your PCM and wait for the update to complete (typically takes 15-20 minutes).
