Beautiful Hopi hand coiled and shaped pottery pot painted with stylized tail feathers & traditional designs. This pot was made and painted by a Lena Chio Charlie. It is believed to be mid-century around the 1940s. It is in very good condition with no cracks, breaks or repairs. Some of Lena's family background is uncertain but it has been widely established that she is directly related to Nampeyo of Hano. It is reported that Nampeyo, in her later years when her eyesight was failing, would have Lena assist her with painting her pieces if Fannie was too busy to help.
