Tempest Themed Custom Built Game Controller.

This custom made retro game controller is inspired by the original Tempest arcade machine and features a high resolution spinner that can be used to play many emulated spinner games and not just Tempest, I have tested it with Tempest, Arkanoid and Blasteroids and it plays them all perfectly, it should play any other games that use an optical spinner equally well.

The spinner used is designed in house and is micro-controller based and connects to your PC via USB and will be recognised by Windows as a generic game controller / joystick. It features a high quality machined aluminium knob. I have tested this on a Windows 10 PC running MAME but I see no reason why this won't work on a Raspberry Pi based set-up. Key bindings will be set within your chosen game along with the spinner sensitivity to suit the game you are playing. Due to the huge variety of systems that can run Mame and other emulators, I can't guarantee that this controller will work with everything. but I will update the listing to reflect any further systems I can test it with in future.

Along with the spinner the controller features three high quality 24mm Sanwa arcade buttons for the main player controls and also features one and two player select buttons and an illuminated mini credit button. The case is a custom multi colour 3D printed enclosure designed by myself and printed from high quality PLA with artwork inspired by the original Tempest cocktail table control panel graphics.

The device measures 240 x 195 x 55 mm.
