Important Note: This is a NPT (National Pipe Taper) thread fitting and is not available for purchase as an NPTF (National Pipe Taper Fuel) variant in 316 stainless steel. NPTF, also referred to as "Dryseal" is designed to provide a leak free seal without PTFE (Teflon) tape. However, according to Parker Industries, all NPTF fittings should require tape/sealant. NPT fittings always require tape and are interchangeable and compatible with NPTF. NPT/NPTF size is not a measured size but rather an industry designation and does not represent the actual inside or outside diameter of the fitting. For example, a 1/4" NPT/NPTF fitting is over 1/2" outside diameter.
