1/10 12k Gold Plated Pince Nez Spectacle on Pearlescent Chain, Fine Condition
"A.L. 1/10th G.P." (Gold Plate) on the top of the spectacles.
Pearls do NOT appear to be genuine.
Pince-nez is a style of glasses, popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries that are supported without earpieces, by pinching the bridge of the nose. The name comes from French pincer, "to pinch", and nez, "nose". They definitely appear to still have pinching power enough to stay on the nose.
They are in fine condition, though the glasses could use a microfiber wipe. Please take close notice of the glasses in picture, as one lens is minorly offset by the adjustable clasp at the top being minorly 'off'. Wearing the glasses does keep them both at acceptable ranges and is only really noticeable when not worn/in case at certain angles.
Unknown when they were manufactured and to how old they are. No other flaws found, can still be worn without degrading quality.
The lens has some level of magnification.
Leave a buyers note for me to wipe the glasses down and I will do so before shipping.
