Factory batteries are depleted and do not work anymore. Please consider you will need to replace them. Also since this is new old stock we can't know for sure if the current batteries have leaked and damaged the circuit or not. We believe that replacing them would do the trick as the doll uses AG13 (LR44) batteries which last longer than usual batteries before they damage the toy, but this is not a guarantee.
