Mustang DP3T (three position) slide switch

The small slide switches that you can find installed on Mustangs above each pickup to switch them between their two phases and off. These switches have three positions. They have two rows of four contacts. The two rows work in unison as the switch position is changed. In the outer positions, the contact closest to the respective edge is bridged to the one next to it. In the middle position the two centre contacts of each row are bridged together. This simple mechanism can provide a whole host of interesting wiring schemes.
