Beryl Var. Aquamarine (Highly Etched Skeletal Crystal) - Location: Itatiaia Mine Conselheiro Pena Minas Gerais Brazil. Large Thumbnail to small Miniature (see photo for more details). Here we have an unusual but at the same time rather aesthetic specimen of a highly etched skeletal beryl crystal var. aquamarine. The crystal is well-formed and sharp and is etched and skeletal being somewhat 'hollow'. The crystal is gemmy and has a very light pale bluish-green color (almost colorless) and has a glassy luster.
