This is a stunning pink opaline glass pitcher, likely from France with an applied black glass handle. Opaline glass dates back to the 16th century and was made popular in Europe when oxides were added to the glass making process to give the opaline and opalescent effect.
Pictures don't do this piece justice, it's simply gorgeous is not pink glass cased in clear, but truly opaline glass, which I tried to capture in the picture of the bottom edge.
Measures 8.5" tall with no chips or cracks found.
