Épinal prints were based on popular subjects and created in bright, sharp colors. They reached their peak of popularity in France in the 19th century. They were named after the printing house (Imagerie d'Épinal) founded by the first publisher of these images, Jean-Charles Pellerin in 1796.

This large volume is presented in good condition for its age. The covers have some scuffing and staining, but the interior is clean and bright. Please see photographs for detailed condition.
